Why write?

Writing forces clarity. You can hold a fuzzy idea in your head for months and feel like you understand it. Put it on the page and the holes become obvious immediately.

It's also a record. Memory is unreliable. A post from three years ago is more accurate than what I'd recall today.

What this is

This is a place for ideas that need more than a tweet but less than a book. Essays, observations, things I figured out the hard way.

No comments. No metrics visible to you. Just text.

What this isn't

A content strategy. A personal brand. A newsletter that ships on schedule whether or not there's anything worth saying.
